Following Ryan's service on the 10th, we (Justin, myself, and the guys) headed down to San Francisco for a mission trip. It wasn't the most ideal circumstance to leave under, as you can imagine. Not only was it hard, but we also didn't get much time to see our family and friends who came to the service at the proceeding reception.
Anyway, we turned it into quite the adventure! Justin and I were talking before we left, and decided that we were gonna keep driving until Justin got too tired. At what hour would that happen you ask? ;)
We were somewhere in the upper half of Oregon when serious discussion began about where and when we would stop for the night. We decided that we'd go at least until midnight and feel it out from there. Medford, OR came up in discussion as well, because that was about as far as we could go before we had to fill up the van.
We pushed on. Midnight turned into 3:00am. It was at this hour where we humorously lost it, going into "slap happy" mode as we ran off pure adrenaline, snacks, and Red Bull. But that did not stop us!!
3:00am turned into 5:00am, where we finally called it a night in Williams, CA. A mere two hours outside of SF... Almost made it! =P
I took this photo of a palm plant sitting outside our hotel room when we got up a few hours later. (Now Sunday the 11th!) Kind of an artsy, on-the-go shot.
