Wake Up! is the new collaboration album from John Legend and The Roots (also featuring other artists). I've heard of the musicians before, and being a big Jimmy Fallon fan, I see The Roots perform constantly on
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. I really like them; great artists and people. So when I saw this album on the shelf, I just had to get it.
Wake Up! has this old school, soulful R&B sound, which I love. It's like I get sucked back into the '70s when I hit play. It's such a refreshing departure from much of the mainstream music scene we're used to hearing on the radio. Real good; a worthy purchase. You should definitely give the album a listen. ;)
