168/365 - Work Weekend At Tall Timber Ranch [For November 13th, 2010]

Tall Timber is amazing! It's one of the few places left, away from everything, where we can enjoy God's Creation to its fullest, as one of the leaders described it as. It's too bad we couldn't take it all in because we were so busy, but it was great to help the camp out.

We cut and moved thousands of pieces of firewood. Moved various snow equipment, such as skis and boots. A few others helped with cooking meals for us all, one even suffering 2nd degree burns during the process! =S But we all kept at it, through the fatigue and suffering. Proud of us; we got a considerable amount done for the camp as they prepare for the winter months, which they desperately need to get ready for.

Here's another photo showing how much wood we stacked in the wood shed. This isn't even counting all the wood we dropped off to the cabins or what was still in the pile waiting to be stacked!

Note: I know these photos don't show much of Tall Timber. There's a photo of the lodge in all its glory, surrounded by the hills and mountains, on my facebook if you want a better look at where we were at. I'm also planning on going back up early next year with the church, just to chill for a weekend, so I'll be sure to get better photos of the area on the blog then.
